The Thurston County Chamber invites the community to attend the Thurston County Chamber’s August Forum on Wednesday, August 18, at 11:30 a.m. at the Olympia Hotel at Capitol Lake (Formerly Hotel RL).
“Every day, I hear from business owners who are struggling to find employees. We are holding the Workforce Summit to help employers understand the current state of the workforce issue from a big picture perspective; then, we’ll provide them with tools to reinvigorate their workforce development tactics. In addition, we’ll have a resource fair at the event to highlight community resources and organizations that support workforce efforts,” said David Schaffert, Thurston Chamber President/CEO.
During this month’s luncheon and presentation, attendees will hear from Cheryl Fambles, CEO of Pacific Mountain Workforce Development Council, who will share the “Workforce Cliff” data and facilitate a panel discussion.
Part of the panel discussion will include innovative workforce programs and tools so employers can successfully hire and retain talent.
Thank you to our Forum Sponsors, Digital Advantage, South Sound YMCA and Morningside.
