Ribbon Cutting Celebrating 10 Years for the Seeds of Change!

Please join us in celebrating 10 years of Seeds of Change, Thurston County's Youth Development Program, on Friday, August 29th at 4pm. 

The Give Back Garden is an opportunity for youth to master new skills and develop a positive work ethic. Along with gardening, the youth work on social skills, positive interactions with peers, and problem solving skills. The garden project also provides the youth opportunities to give back to their community by delivering fresh produce to our local food bank and volunteering at the food bank warehouse on those rainy Western Washington days.

This detention alternative provides an opportunity for the youth to be a part of the growing process from planting, to harvest and giving back to their community. This program is not only planting seeds in the ground, but it also plants the seeds for a positive future for our youth.

Ribbon cutting time will be 4:30 pm
